When placing XMP panels in these locations, the Get Info Panel will be accessible to all of your CS6 applications. Unfortunately, in order to have the Creative Cloud applications be self-sufficient, they moved the XMP panels to inside of the application. Therefore, you have to do a little trick in order to get it to work.
Final note: If you are implementing a digital asset management platform, DPCI strongly recommends that you integrate the new DAM with custom XMP panels using Adobe Bridge CC. To see an example video of how Adobe Bridge works in action integrated with DAM, visit this demo video we created. We will be happy to help you with your implementation!

With the widespread adoption of Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe has changed the way that Adobe stores where its custom XMP panels are installed on the computer. Here is a quick fix for you to be able to use your XMP panels you created in Adobe Bridge CC and other applications.
Adobe changed the implementation of the XMP FileInfo panels starting with it's CS4 suite. Beginning in CS4 the FileInfo dialog is a Flash based application built using Flash, C++ or Java. Installing the text-based CS3 version above will not work.
Customers who need more flexibility and functionality for custom metadata UI should use the Adobe Extension SDK that allows to write HTML5 based panels for Creative Cloud applications. The following link is an example of an extension panel that can interact with XMP and is meant as a starting point for developers.
These versions of the SDK can be used with Creative Suite and Creative Cloud applications older than the 2014 version. For CC applications (before 2014) all custom FileInfo panels should always be installed into the user-specific location (as mentioned in the documentation). The shared location isn't used anymore.
XMP FileInfo panels provided by Adobe are now installed alongside with each Adobe CC application. Placing your custom panel into the application directory is not recommended. For example, the uninstaller cannot handle custom files inside the application directory. Moreover, your custom panel (e.g. inside the Adobe Photoshop CC application directory) will not show up in other Adobe applications such as Adobe Bridge CC. 2ff7e9595c
